Burger King Halloumi Burger

Burger King Halloumi Burger

Burger King UK have launched the Halloumi Burger and Double Halloumi Burger.

Burger King Halloumi Burger

It was inevitable a Halloumi Burger was coming after recent hints on Twitter and a possible teaser on Instagram.

Now the BK website has been updated to include both new burgers.

The Halloumi Burger is described as:

Served in a buttery brioche bun with freshly cut crisp lettuce, onions, tomatoes and creamy mayo, this new burger will ensure your love affair with Halloumi gets even stronger.

Double Halloumi Burger

The Double Halloumi Burger is described as:

Double the halloumi, double the fun! Served in a buttery brioche bun with freshly cut crisp lettuce, onions, tomatoes and creamy mayo, this new burger will ensure your love affair with Halloumi gets even more heated.

Nutritionally the single clocks in at 485 calories with the double at 685 calories.

We spotted the Halloumi Burger meal deal on the BK App late Saturday evening and we believe the website was updated Sunday.

Burger King Sweden first had the Halloumi King on their menu which was then followed by the Smokey BBQ Halloumi King and more recently, Halloumi Fries.

It hasn’t taken too long for this to get to the UK.

And with McDonald’s announcing their own Halloumi Burger in Sweden this week, it will be interesting to see if we’ll get that in this country too.

The single burger is priced at £3.99 with a meal costing £5.99, while the double burger will set you back £5.49 and £7.49 for the meal. Please remember, prices are subject to variation depending on which restaurant you visit.

Will you be trying the new Burger King Halloumi Burger?

Are you glad to see it on the BK UK menu?

Nutritional information is dodgy at best with these big chains. They simply state numbers without any suggestion toward weight. It could well be 485 calories just for the patty itself and not the entire burger. It’s not the calories that matter as much however as it is the other numbers – like carbs and fat. Which is just listed as 42 and 26. If that’s grams, per burger, I wouldn’t go near this thing it’ll turn you into a slab of halloumi if you ate enough of them.

I love the Burger King Halloumi burger! However, I would like to know if the Halloumi is true (made of ewes and goats milk) or is it made with cows milk?
Sounds picky, but some people can’t tolerate cows milk, but can take goats and ewes.
Also, unless its true Halloumi, it has to be sold as ‘Salad cheese’…(ask Tescos!)
