McDonald’s Festive Menu 2020

McDonald’s Festive Menu 2020:

If you are looking for news on the McDonald’s Festive Menu for 2020 you have come to the right place.

Please note, the below line-up is rumour and is subject to change and could potentially be available from Wednesday 18th November.

The first major news is that the hero of the promotion is the return of the Double Big Mac (or Mega Mac).

Available in many countries around the world (currently Romania, Spain, Hungary and Bulgaria) to name four, this is the first time the Double Big Mac has been on the UK menu for at least eight years.

Putting aside the validity of just how “Festive” the McDonald’s Festive Menu 2020 actually is, let us just bask in the glory that the Double Big Mac is RUMOURED to be part of the line-up.

Other rumoured menu items include a new burger called the Jamaican Jerk Chicken – this sounds very familiar to the previously released Jamaican Chicken (our review here).

It wouldn’t be a Festive Menu without a cheese side (we’ll take Loaded Fries in 2021 please McDonald’s) and this year is no different with the returning Cheese Melt Dippers – you can read our previous review of those here.

Apologies, all this is pure speculation at this time, so please do not send the angry lynch mob if any of this information turns out to be incorrect!

Desserts/drinks fans could be satisfied with the remaining two items we have heard should feature which are the Celebrations McFlurry and Salted Caramel Latte.

What do you think of the rumoured McDonald’s Festive Menu 2020?

Are you hyped that the Double Big Mac is set to return to the UK?

It certainly fits in with our prediction of seeing less non-core menu ingredients being utilised and “doubling up” of existing burgers (see Triple Cheeseburger, Double Quarter Pounder).

Double Big Mac

We are currently celebrating our 8th anniversary of launching the BURGER LAD® website and our quest for the DBM started around that time – see here.

I’d like to think in that time, that we have helped contribute to the way in which new fast food promotions are advertised in the UK – you certainly didn’t used to know what was coming before the day it was released, and from my memory (and Google searches), tabloids and other media outlets never reported on the next LTO.

But now it appears the new model is to hype a new burger without actually trying it and then seven+ days later, scour social media for negative comments about that promo and then sensationalise their findings.

We’ll continue doing what we’ve been doing since 2012 – providing updates on what we hear is coming next and then giving our honest and impartial analysis.

Please, please take this information as rumour and speculation at this time, but if it is true, we could all be feasting on a Double Big Mac this Christmas.

I don’t care if it’s not very festive… whatever that means!
