How long has Burger Lad® pined for the My Burger promotion that has been available in other European Countries?

Too long! Well Monday 19th May McDonald’s launched the My Burger build a burger competition allowing members of the burger public to create their own burgers.

The website features a gallery where you can see the latest, most popular and trending creations.

All the social media tools are there to allow you to share your creation. You can vote if you would like a burger created and five burgers based on the judging of ingredients and name will be released on Wednesday 15th October 2014.

Excited!? Yeah we are and of course the official Burger Lad® burger has already been submitted. I won’t hold my breath though based on that name but thanks to everyone that has voted so far…

Bit of a long shot with that name…

So… what are the ingredients you can choose from? Well for the UK version of My Burger you can only choose beef but then I don’t see that as much of a hate crime…

Buns:

Baguette Style, Sesame Seed, Brioche Style, Ciabatta Bun, Cheese Topped Ciabatta, Cheese & Herb Topped Ciabatta, Cheese & Paprika Topped Ciabatta, Oval Sesame Seed, Sesame Topped, Cheese Topped, Chilli & Paprika Topped, Herb Topped Focaccia, Paprika Topped, Lattice Bun, Sesame, Chilli & Chive Topped, Glazed Sesame, Glazed Bun, Sourdough Bun, Wholemeal Bun.

Meats:

Pepperoni Slices, Streaky Bacon, Bacon Pieces, Maple Cured Streaky Bacon, Chorizo Slices.

Cheese:

This promotion had been rumoured for 2014 but at Burger Lad® we weren’t expecting it to be launched mid Great Tastes of America. Sneaky Ronald…sneaky! We are lovin’ it though!
