GBK CREATES BLOODY (MARY) GOOD BURGER FOR WORCESTER OPENING

Burger lovers across Worcester are in for a mouth-watering treat as Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) celebrates the opening of its new city centre restaurant with a Bloody Mary Burger special.

GBK Head of Food Tim Molema has crafted the exclusive burger, paying homage to Worcestershire sauce, famously made in Worcester since 1837.

Available at GBK Worcester only, the limited edition burger is made up of a 6oz Cajun dusted beef patty, bloody mary ketchup, American cheese, jalapenos, baconnaise and crispy onions.

GBK Marketing Manager, Laura Pettingale, comments: “We wanted to create something special with one of Worcester’s most famous export to mark GBK opening in the city. We can’t wait to hear what burger fans think of The Bloody Mary Burger and hope they enjoy it as much as we love the famous sauce.”

Proud of serving gourmet burgers since 2001, GBK kick-started the premium burger trend and was the first to introduce gourmet burgers to the London market.

Setting itself apart with a huge range of adventurous crafted burgers, GBK uses 100% prime beef, hand selected and traditionally reared on independent farms across the South West counties.

GBK only uses the freshest ingredients and creates sauces from scratch every day in each kitchen.

Typical of GBK restaurants, GBK Worcester features an open plan kitchen allowing diners to see their food being prepared and cooked right in front of them.

Design features, such as the leather booths and banquettes, give a nod to the local history of glove craftsmanship.

GBK Worcester will be GBK’s 72nd restaurant to open following Southampton and Birmingham earlier this year.

Opening on 30 May, and located in CrownGate Shopping Centre, the restaurant will create 30 jobs in the local area.

The Bloody Mary Burger is available at GBK Worcester until 30th June at a cost of £9.45.
