Burger King have launched the Bacon King in the UK featuring not one… not two… but EIGHT SLICES OF BACON!
Yes eight.
The BK website describes this bacon-monster as:
Our BACON KING™ Sandwich features two savory flame-grilled 100% British and Irish beef burgers, topped a with hearty portion of thick-cut smoked bacon, melted American cheese and topped with ketchup and creamy mayonnaise all on a soft sesame seed bun.
Just remember BK UK – savoury is spelt with a ‘u’ in it in this country…
This bacon bad-boy clocks in at an eye-watering 1,040 calories – that’s half of a woman’s recommended daily intake – oof.
Running alongside the Bacon King is the Chicken Bacon King and Bacon Cheese Bites.
The Bacon King first appeared on the US menu and there are several European variations including one with BBQ sauce and another with jalapeños.
